Choose a diet that suits you

Can’t imagine making a drastic change to your eating habits? Don’t worry. There is certainly a diet that suits you. It’s simply a matter of making sensible choices and combinations, and not overdoing it with harmful food products. Do you love meat, or do you prefer to be veg- etarian or go fully vegan? Anything is possible. Just stay conscious of the need to maintain a healthy balance.

Eating too much animal protein and fat has an adverse effect on various bodily processes, as well as being linked to an increased risk of cancer and a worse prognosis for recovery (Castro-Espin C, 2022). That’s not to say that a vegetarian diet is absolutely essential for beat- ing cancer. If you like eating meat, poultry or fish, you can – as long as you make sure that you eat enough fruit, vegetables, and other plant- based foods (Maximova K, 2020).

Whether your choice is vegetarian, vegan, meat, poultry or fish, the most important thing is that your diet contains a proper balance of all important nutrients. For each of the diets described below, we point out the things to which you must pay attention in order to achieve the right balance.
